The Thüringer Aufbaubank (TAB) was set up in 1992 as a public-law institution. Since that time, the bank has undertaken numerous assignments in business development and the promotion of housing construction for the Free State of Thuringia, and has thus played its part in the further development of Thuringia as a business location.

 | The owner of the Thüringer Aufbaubank is the Free State of Thuringia.
In order to develop Thuringia, TAB works closely with Thuringia’s government, banks and savings banks and the KfW (reconstruction loan) banking group. Strict competitive neutrality is for us a matter of course.
The Free State of Thuringia provides 100-per-cent guarantee for the Thüringer Aufbaubank. Legal supervision of the bank rests with the Thuringian Ministry of Finance.
Our headquarters is located in the S-Finanzzentrum in Erfurt; we have customer centres in Nordhausen, Gera, Eisenach and Suhl.
